These Terms of Service define the conditions governing access to and use of the Addliance® website, as well as participation in its initiatives, including but not limited to publications, consultations, events, and collaborative activities.

By accessing this website or engaging with any Addliance® initiative, users acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms.

Addliance® is a European alliance of Additive Manufacturing (AM) hubs, organisations, and stakeholders. It operates as a collaborative platform aimed at fostering alignment, enabling knowledge exchange, and strengthening strategic coordination across the European AM ecosystem.

Activity Framework

Nature of Activities

Addliance® operates as a non-commercial, collaborative and ecosystem-driven initiative. It does not provide commercial services, consultancy engagements, or project-based deliverables in the traditional sense.

Its core activities include:

  • Development of strategic publications (e.g. European AM Roadmaps)

  • Organisation of consultations, surveys, and stakeholder engagement processes

  • Facilitation of events, forums, and workshops

  • Promotion of knowledge exchange and best practices

  • Representation and alignment of the European AM ecosystem

Participation in these activities is voluntary unless otherwise explicitly defined within a specific initiative or agreement.

Nothing within these Terms shall be interpreted as creating a client-provider relationship between Addliance® and any participant.

Platform Use

Use of the Website

Users agree to access and use the Addliance® website in a responsible, lawful, and professional manner.

In particular, users shall not:

  • Engage in activities that may disrupt, damage, or impair the functionality of the platform

  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to systems, data, or restricted areas

  • Use the platform to distribute unlawful, misleading, or harmful content

Users are responsible for ensuring that any information submitted through the platform is accurate, complete, and not misleading.

Addliance® reserves the right to restrict or suspend access to the platform in cases of misuse, non-compliance, or activities that may compromise the integrity of the initiative.

Participation

Contribution

Addliance® encourages active participation from stakeholders across the AM ecosystem.

By submitting any form of content — including survey responses, written inputs, data, or insights — participants:

  • Grant Addliance® a non-exclusive, royalty-free, and worldwide right to use, reproduce, analyse, and incorporate such contributions into its publications, reports, and strategic outputs

  • Acknowledge that contributions may be processed, aggregated, and presented in anonymised or synthesised formats

  • Confirm that they have the necessary rights, permissions, and authority to share the submitted content

Addliance® commits to ensuring that contributions are used in a responsible and proportionate manner, aligned with the objectives of each initiative.

Participation does not imply formal membership, endorsement, partnership, or representation unless explicitly agreed in writing.

Intellectual Property

Rights & Ownership

All materials available on the Addliance® website — including but not limited to text, graphics, visual identity elements, reports, and publications — are protected by applicable intellectual property laws and remain the property of Addliance® or its respective contributors.

Users may:

  • Access and use content for informational and non-commercial purposes

  • Share official publications with appropriate attribution to Addliance®

Users may not:

  • Reproduce, modify, distribute, or commercially exploit content without prior written authorisation

Contributors retain ownership of their original materials but grant Addliance® the rights necessary to use such content within the scope of its initiatives.

Events & Initiatives

Participation Conditions

Participation in Addliance®-led or affiliated initiatives, including events, workshops, and consultations, may be subject to specific terms communicated in advance.

Addliance® reserves the right to:

  • Define participation criteria

  • Select or limit participants based on relevance, capacity, or strategic considerations

  • Modify agendas, formats, or participation conditions where necessary

Participation does not guarantee speaking roles, visibility, or representation unless explicitly confirmed.

By attending events, participants acknowledge that photography, video recording, and other media capture may take place for communication and dissemination purposes.

Confidentiality

Information Handling

Addliance® is committed to handling information shared through its platform and initiatives in a responsible and secure manner.

However:

  • Users are advised not to submit confidential, proprietary, or sensitive information unless explicitly requested

  • Where confidentiality is required, specific agreements (such as Non-Disclosure Agreements) may be established

Addliance® will take reasonable measures to ensure that data is handled appropriately, but cannot guarantee absolute confidentiality in open consultation processes.
